Quick Kitchen Organization Tips

It’s been several years, but we remodeled our kitchen. I feel blessed to have the space I do now. The counter space was extremely limited before. Now I have more counterspace, cabinet space, and room to cook. I love it, and I learned a few quick kitchen organization tips along the way, which I’ll share with you below.

Chalkboard Paint Inside Cabinet Doors

If your children are like mine, they often “forget” where certain things go.  Painting the inside of each door with chalkboard paint could be a fun way to help kids “remember” where the dishes go. If you didn’t want to paint the inside of the cabinet doors, you can buy chalkboard labels . Which would work great if you don’t want paint on the inside of your cabinet door.

Easy Access

Consider what you will be using most and the location of these items. For example, keep the coffee cups close to the coffee pot. The cups where the kids are able to reach, etc.

Drawer dividers:

There are some great drawer organization products out there. Whether you are trying to keep your utensils organized or tackle that dreaded junk drawer lol.

Do you need a baking area?

I know this sounds silly but some of us enjoy baking, especially during the cooler months. You can set up a designated baking area where all your baking ingredients and containers are in one area. If you have a stylish KitchenAid mixer, save some cabinet space and leave it on the counter. BAM, you’ll have your own little baking area where all your baking essentials are in one convenient place, so you don’t have to run back and forth.

Food storage containers:

I swear, when you lose a sock, it comes back as a freaking tupperware lid, lol. To this day, I don’t know how this happens but it does. Keeping your food storage containers organized can be extremely helpful. It can also help reduce an a bit of stress and save time when you begin searching for matching containers and lids.

Pot and Pan Organizer

Several years ago, I purchased several pot and pan organizers for my kitchen and they were great. It helped keep my lids, pots and pans nice and organized rather than just tossed in the cabinet. There are several different styles to choose from so you can choose one that fits your space and needs.

Those are a few quick tips to help you organize your kitchen. Hopefully they help you find what works best for you.
