Celebrate Life’s mess with Clorox Bleach

Life is unpredictable and full of surprises, which is what makes it so incredibly beautiful and amazing. From the news of a new addition to the family to someone popping the big question, we never know what life will decide to throw our way. It makes every day such a blessing and something that we should celebrate come what may. Some events aren’t always seen as a blessing right away, but after we have time to step back and see the beauty in it, it sure makes for memories to be cherished

I’m talking about those messes that pop up after a paint or cupcake decorating party with my nieces or when my homemade tomato sauce decides to have a party of its own all over the kitchen counters. At first, these things seem like a nuisance, but looking back, they are memories that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Mattie Playing in the mud

I just recently moved in with my sister and her family. So, that all includes my brother-in-law, my three nieces (who love mud and dirt), and one nephew, not to mention the zoo-like atmosphere that all the animals bring as well. I love to cook with the kids, paint with the kids, play dress up with the girls… Pretty much any way I can make a mess, count me in! After Christmas, the kids all received paint sets as gifts from Santa and asked if I wanted to join them in a “Paint Party,” as mentioned before. “Uh, Heck Yeah! Try to keep me away!”

Everything was going great—we were painting up a storm and as should be expected, we ended up with more paint that was intended for the canvas on our clothes and the kitchen table. At first, the mess was quite intimidating and admittedly kind of frustrating. But I took a step back and looked at the kid’s painted clothes and brushed faces and just started to giggle uncontrollably.

This was one of the times that I had to celebrate life’s messages. This was a memory I could never forget and would never want to. I just had the girls get changed, bring me their clothes and I started on the mess. I grabbed some Clorox Regular-Bleach, treated their clothes and threw them in the wash. Then headed for the table to clean up that unintentional canvas. It was easy to get the clothes clean and the paint wiped up with some warm water, soap, and a splash of Clorox® Bleach. It was easy to get the clothes clean, and the paint was wiped up with some warm water, soap, and a splash of Clorox Bleach. Why was I fretting? This was one of life’s Bleachable moments, and how thankful I am that I was chosen to participate.

As I said before, I love to cook. If you ask anyone, I have a saying, “The messier a meal is to prepare, the better it tastes,” and I live by that. I have a jacquard-print apron that was a gift from my sister that I adore and hold very dear. I wear it every time I cook and this particular Bleachable Moment was no exception. I was making my homemade pasta sauce and was stewing some tomatoes. I know, already a recipe for disaster, right? Well, the recipe calls for tomatoes—lots of them. I was stewing some tomatoes and peeling them. I handcrushed them, and the juice and seeds splattered everywhere—on the walls, the microwave, the ceiling, and on my favorite apron. But, instead of getting upset, I remembered, “The messier a meal is to make, the better it tastes.” So, I continued with my sauce as usual. Well, the sauce decided to have a party that I was invited to. It began to boil, bubbling up and popping. I turned the heat down before it got too crazy and allowed it to cool.

TheI got a bit excited about my sauce and really wanted a taste and I guess I just got a bit too excited. I knocked it over and sauce went everywhere and again all over my apron. Again, instead of panicking, I had to “Celebrate Life’s Messes” and simply treated my apron with some Clorox® Regular-Bleach and made a cleaning solution again to clean up the mess on the kitchen counter. It was so easy to get the kitchen back in order and there were no stains to worry about ruining my apron. So, now I giggle at myself but still live by my motto, “the messier the meal is to make, the better it tastes.”

Kids Having a Tea Party

Again, life throws us curveballs, and we never know what’s coming next. We have to enjoy the moments with a smile and remember that those moments that sometimes seem like a disaster are beautiful memories being made. Painted tables and clothes and nieces covered in their artwork are cherished memories that I hold dear.

And drenching myself in tomato sauce hasn’t deterred me from cooking up a storm every time I get into the kitchen. Clorox is such a helpful cleaning product to have around the house. It gets stains out and gets rid of all the grime and mess that we tend to make every day, which in turn makes it so easy to “Celebrate Life’s Messes.”
