Are you looking for a few fun things to do with kids on spring break? You may consider sticking around we might give you an idea or two.
I’m so excited it’s spring! With the warmer weather comes spring break, Easter and spending time outside. It’s a great time to bond with your kids, recharge for the rest of the school year, and maybe even take the kids on a shopping trip to OshKosh Bgosh for new spring clothing. This is my favorite time of year for shopping, and I always buy the kids their first spring outfit on their spring break; it’s a fun way to celebrate both springs and their spring break! We take off the jackets and boots to trade them in for bright colors and flip flops, and OshKosh Bgosh is where we do most of our shopping.
As a parent, I want to spend as much time with my kids on spring break as I can. Whether we go on a family vacation or hang at home for spring break, I am excited to get the time with my kids. Since it’s only about a week, I always try to plan out my week and activities for us to do together, so their break doesn’t pass us by before we have some fun.
Things To Do With Kids On Spring Break
If you’re looking for things to do with kids on spring break, here are a few things we’re doing to get you started.
Easter Eggs: Try decorating Easter Eggs differently than you normally do. Rather than purchasing the traditional kit, jump on Google and look for alternative ways to decorate Easter eggs. There are tons of creative ways to decorate Easter Eggs.
Start the garden. My kids love working in the garden, especially during the spring because it’s not too hot. Kids love playing in the dirt and watching the garden grow will give them a feeling of accomplishment. Gardening is a great way to spend time outside and bond with the kids.
Go on a picnic. Let the kids help you make a few sandwiches, grab some fruit and drinks and head out for a family picnic. It’s also a great surprise for the kids. You’ll have to make the lunch when the kids are not around, but it will be fun. My kids always get so excited when I take them on a surprise picnic.
Crafts: There is something about spring; it inspires me to create colorful things with the kids. Whether it’s decorating the flowerpots for your garden or making Easter spring crafts, it’s a great way to spend time with the kids.
Park: My kids love going to the park, and it’s a great way to get them outside and to move.
Make bubbles together. We always make bubbles and play outside on spring break. Bubbles are inexpensive, easy to make, and provide endless fun for the kids.
Shopping: It’s spring, and the kids are out of school for spring break. It’s the perfect time to take the kids shopping for spring clothing. If your kids are anything like mine, they enjoy getting new clothing and want to pick out their clothing, but they don’t want to spend a lot of time in the store shopping with their parents. Which is why OshKosh is our favorite store to visit? The kids love their variety of clothing and that they don’t have to wait while mom and dad shop too, and it’s no secret that my husband and I love OshKosh too.
Spring Fashion With OshKosh Bgosh
OshKosh has stylish clothing that is grounded in an authentic American heritage and the belief kids have fun being kids. Many of us know OshKosh for the World’s Best Overalls and their classic denim, but they have so much more than that. This spring, OshKosh has an exciting variety of kid fashion trends.
OshKosh Bgosh is our favorite place to shop, and they have all the right clothing to help your kids brighten up their wardrobe at a price you’ll like too. I always get excited to start spring/summer shopping for my kids—brighter colors and flip-flops! We have been waiting to buy our first pair of flip-flops of the year since September; it’s been a long wait.
I shop with OshKosh Bgosh all year-long because of their variety of quality clothing, great kids fashion trends and awesome prices. Okay and each of my kids has had at least one pair of the World Famous Overalls from OshKosh Bgosh, it makes me jealous to this day I would rock a pair of OshKosh Overalls! I’m going to bet most of you would too.
We recently went to OshKosh Bgosh and Mattie had a blast picking out her outfits, and she did a great job. If it’s not school clothes, I pretty much let the kids pick out their outfits so they can express who they are and try different things. Fashion is a form of art and all three of my girls are artists, and they love trying different colors, styles, and styles! The shoe addiction comes from me. Everyone says it can’t be passed down to your children, but I think they are wrong because all three of my girls and even my son LOVE shoes as much as I do—maybe even more?
I took Mattie to OshKosh for our mom and daughter day because that is what she wanted to do; she needed to get an outfit to match her new fan that her dad bought her. See, she’s a smart girl and did a fabulous job getting something that matched her fan, including the fun spring colors. However, I will say that the older Mattie gets, the less I like shopping with her. I guess I sort of know how the kids feel waiting on me.
OshKosh is one of our favorite places to shop!
