How To Raise Money For Kids Soccer Teams

blahblahsponsorChildren from all over the world love to play soccer.  It’s a great sport for both their physical and emotional wellbeing will benefit from playing the sport.  I played soccer as a child, and now I get to watch my children play soccer.  From watching my kids practice to helping them raise money for kid’s soccer I am happy I can be part of it.  Speaking of raising money for kid’s soccer, did you know your social networking could be used to raise money for your child’s soccer team?  It’s true, and we will touch on that toward the end of the post.

My oldest daughter tried to play soccer, and she learned it wasn’t the sport for her.  Vayda plays soccer, and she quickly learned how much she loved it, and it’s helped her become more confident.  Mattie is still too little, but she likes to play, well until she sees a pretty butterfly, or decides she needs a water break lol.  There is nothing like watching the tiny Mattie try to play soccer, while her big sister Vayda is standing on the sidelines coaching her.  Soccer not only teach m kids important lessons they can carry with them forever, but it’s taught me valuable lessons as an adult with kids who play.  ?

Reasons Kids Should Play SoccerReasons Kids Should Play Soccer

Soccer is an awesome sport for children of all ages, and there is so many reasons children should play soccer if they enjoy it.  If a child wants to play soccer, I say go for it, there are too many great things they can take away from the experience – even if they end up not liking it.

Responsibility

Playing soccer, another sport, or taking part in an activity is the perfect time for parents to start teaching kids about responsiblity.  When we find something that dives our kids we tell them what they have to do to play – clean room, get good grades, be ready on time, etc.  There are certain responsibilities that comes with playing sports and other activities.  If they want to play soccer or be part of another activity they need to be responsible.

Being outside

Get up and get outside!  Soccer allows the kids to be outside, enjoying the fresh air.  Unless the weather is bad, the kids will likely be practicing and holding games outside.  It is also great for the family, because while the kids are playing soccer you are outside too.

TeamworkBeing part of a team

Kids need to learn how to be part of a team.  Learning how to work as a team is an important part of life, and something they will use as they get older.

Friends

Teammates often turn out to be great friends.  They often support one another both on and off the field.

Confidence

Hard work does pay off, and it’s important that our children see what happens when they work hard at something.  They will see themselves improving, friends and family will tell them how much they have improved, and it can build confidence both on and off the field. I am sure most of you would agree kids need to be confident.

Exercise

Man, if anything is exercise, it’s soccer.  Try running back and forth on the field, the kids are consistently jogging back and forth.  I think it is safe to say that is great exercise.

Fundraising

From selling candy bars to having car washes, all my kids have been involved in the fundraising part of soccer too.  The way I look at it is, if they really want to play they will help come up with ideas, and help raise the money.  It’s given my kids a whole new appreciation for the sport, their coaches, and the parents there helping.  If there was only more people helping, an easier way to find sponsorship, and more time in the day for rasing money for kid’s soccer.

There might not be more time in the day, but thanks to Pear and Ritz Bits how to raise money for kid’s soccer just became a lot easier, and easier for everyone involved.

I mentioned earlier that there was a way social networking could be used to raise money for your child’s soccer team.  Thanks to Pear and Ritz Bits it’s totally possible, and even easy!

So what is PearUp.com?

Pear is an awesome social engagement platform, which helps groups earn sponsorship from brands, and it’s free!  The launched in 2012, and their mission is to make sponsorship easy for both parties involved. Pear matches the teams with the sponsors without any catches or hoops to jump through, does it all without any cost, and without sending you door to door asking for donations.  Pear wants to make things easy, so you only ask family and friends to engage on their social media accounts for your team through Pear.  It’s really neat, and does make sponsorship easier for both parties.

Take a second and check out this video to learn more about how Pear works.
