Summer goes by all to quickly, and before you can turn around, you’re sending the kids back to school. This year, everything came all to fast for me, and I ended up doing a lot of last-minute back-to-school shopping. I had traveled so much that I let the season get away from me, and before I knew it, I was out-of-town, and the kid’s grandmother was there for the kid’s first day of school. I’m thankful she was there, but I’m still a little upset that I wasn’t the one taking them on their first day of school. We received a $300 credit to purchase items from Zappos.com, and I couldn’t be happier with what we received, and I think my youngest Mattie is the happiest with her Skip Hop Zoo Pack Backpack, which is super cute and the perfect size for her to take the things she needs to Tuesday–Thursday school this year.
The Skip Hop Zoo Pack Backpack has a large main compartment, so she can store her books, toys, or other larger items. The smaller front pocket for all those small items she is going to want to take to school. I love that there are only two pockets, which makes it easy for her to keep track of where she puts things. The cool thing about the Skip Hop Zoo Pack Backpack is that you can get it in tons of fun different animals, and they are all cute.
Lucky Brand Kids Mix and Match Lucky Logo Tee is super cute, and Mattie and I both loved the fun, bright color and Lucky brand logo on the front. Mattie is into the coral color, and this is her new favorite shirt. She is honestly having a hard time waiting to wear it to school. She was so excited when I told her she had to try on her new clothes for me to take a picture, and I have to admit, she looked pretty darn cute. The Lucky Brand Kids Mix n Match Lucky Logo Tee has short raglan sleeves, a round neckline, a fun colorful embroidered logo on the front, a curved hem, and is made of slub cotton-poly jersey fabric. Naturally, I need something easy to machine wash too. The Lucky Brand shirt is just that: machine wash cold and tumble dry low.
My youngest daughter is hard to buy jeans for because she is tall and learns. I decided to try a pair of Lucky Brand Kids Zoe Jeggings, which fit her great and look amazing. They are super-stretchy, with a straight fit and a slim, straight leg, which fits her perfectly.
Converse Chuck Taylor® All Star® Dainty Ox My oldest daughter started wearing Converse shoes several years ago, and that is the only brand shoe she will wear. I am in no way joking, and I don’t know if that will ever change about her. However, this is the first pair of Converse that is not black, so we are making progress. She did tell me these were her favorite Converse yet; I think it’s the color, but she said they are super comfortable and light. I feel the shoes are true to their size, but then again, I honestly don’t know if Catie wears a different shoe size in other shoes because she will not wear them. Normally she’s the one who likes to wear Lucky Brand jeans, but I decided to buy Levi’s here because I thought she would like them, and GO MOM, she loves them! Not only does she love them, but they look great on her, especially with her not-black Converse shoes, lol. I am proud of my daughter for trying new things and stepping out of her comfort zone, even if she didn’t have a choice with the jeans.
Most of you know we are redoing our house too, and well, we just started on the heart of our home—the kitchen. I couldn’t help myself; since Zappos.com has everything from back-to-school items to beautiful items for the home, I got something for mom too!
