I am always on the lookout for great apps for kids. My children are techy, and I try to encourage it, but I also try to stick to educational apps, fun interactive book apps for kids, etc. I was looking for a few new apps for the kids to play, and I was surprised how many kids apps that I disapprove of. I mean, sure I want my kids to have fun, but some of these apps are CRAZY. I actually found more than one pimple-popping app, and I am not even joking.
I want my children to get something from the time they spend on the iPad, smartphone, or PC. Since summer is here, the kids are home more, and inside during the HOT hours of the day, I allow them a little extra tech time. Which also means, I am on the lookout for more quality apps for my kids to play interactive book apps since they discovered Laura’s Journey.

About Laura’s Star and the Dream-Monster
Oh NO! A monster took Tommy’s toy-dog! Laura tries to explain to Tommy that he was only dreaming, but she learns differently when she visits Tommy’s room to learn the toy dog is gone. When they cannot find the toy dog Laura starts to believe Tommy, and it’s a good thing because Laura’s Star knows exactly where they need to go to find the lost toy dog. Magical star dust turns Tommy’s bed into a boat for the two of them to head off to the City of Dreams.
Laura and Tommy take you on another journey with row upon row of doors, and behind the doors are dreams. The dreams are stored behind the doors until the dream messengers collect them. Laura’s Star helps them find the right door, but wild things happen. They come face to face with the dream monsters. The interactive app has beautiful animation, and plenty of interactive fun that kept my kids glued. They followed along with the narrator, and listed while the interactive app taught them about friendship and teamwork.
This is a GREAT bedtime story, afternoon story, or interactive app you let your children listen too on their own. It is perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and even a little older kids because my older daughter, Vayda loved it. Her and Mattie have listened, and interacted with this app several times, and every time they have so much fun.
