Looking for a fun idea to do with the kids? Do they love cats? Well, we think you’ll love these kitty face shoes.
My daughter loves kitties; I mean, what little girl doesn’t, right? Since she has been doing so well at school, I have tried to do little things to reward her and show her I’m proud of her. Her new kitty face shoes are by far the cutest reward she’s gotten all year. When she got home from school, as expected, she did backflips over her new shoes.
How To Make Your Very Own Kitty Face Shoes
I would love to say I came up with this idea all on my own, but I went to a blogging event, and one of the girls had some kitty shoes. That was the inspiration; this is a DIY version of her awesome, super fun shoes.
This shoes only took about 10 minutes, and you probably have everything you need at home to get the job done.
You’ll need the following items:
- Shoes
- Pencil
- Paint
- Paint Brush
TIP: No paint, you could totally use a sharpie!
Let’s get busy on this DIY Painted Kitty Face Shoes project:
Clean the area you’ll be painting on the shoes.
Using your pencil sketch your kitty face.
Since you are using a pencil to draw these face, it’s easy to make changes before pulling out the paint if needed.
Once you’re happy with your kitty faces paint over your sketch.
Allow to dry for several hours just to be safe. Since you’re not using a lot of paint things, tend to dry quickly, but I allowed a little extra time to dry because shoes tend to get more wear and tear than something you paint and hang on the wall.
Enjoy your new shoes!
Huge thanks to my sister for lending a hand with this fun project.
