Even Super Moms Can’t Trust a Sneeze, Laugh, Cough, or Fart

Huge thanks to the fine folks at Depend® for sponsoring this post.  It’s a fun one, becasue even super moms can’t trust a sneeze, laugh, cough, or fart, becasue they might leak a little.  Oh, and jumping on a trampoline, or anything is probably NEVER gong to happen again.  At least Depend® is making this a little better by giving us the chance to grab a FREEBIE, and A LOT better by allowing us to help by supporting the Underwareness movement!

Let’s face it, nobody wants to deal with, or talk about bladder leakage, but it’s something that happens – probably more than you realize.  What Depend® is doing is creating a movement so people feel comfortable talking about it, and with our help they will donate $3 Million over the next three years to help those who are dealing with, or will deal with bladder leakage.

Be sure to take advantage of the Free Sample from Depend®, but more importantly be part of this movement, it costs nothing and does more than one may realize.

Nobody told me that I was going to be able to multitask after having a child.  Sure, I can sneeze, laugh, cough, fart, and pee all at the same time!  Oh, and what about the fact that nobody every told me to stay away from trampolines, for like EVER?  Where was all this stuff, when everyone was telling me how awesome being mom was?  No, I wouldn’t change anything, because I love my kids, but I wish people were not so worried about talking about bladder leakage, becasue I thought something was seriously wrong with me, until my doctor told me what was going on with my body, lol.

Let’s face it, nobody wants to say “Oh, no I cannot go because I am might pee on myself.”  Oh, yes I do know, all too well.  For the past few years I have not been able to do a lot, because I was scared I would leak a little.  Thankfully, it finally cleared up, but chances are I will deal with it again when I have another baby, or get older.  Which is why, I love what Depend® is doing to help raise Underwareness with their Drop Your Pants campaign. They are creating a movement, awareness, and helping show people who it is totally okay to speak up and talk about bladder leakage, and they need our help.  Depend® has pledged 3 Million to advance the support and education of bladder leakage issues, and they need our help in spreading the word, and showing others we are not afraid to talk about it.

bladder leakageI didn’t speak up, it took me a while before I mentioned anything to my husband.  I think I was secretive about it, because I didn’t know a lot about it, and I didn’t think it was something anyone wanted to talk about.  Well, I’m pretty outspoken, and don’t care a whole bunch what people think, so that only lasted so long, before I mentioned something in a joking fashion to my husband.  Maybe testing the waters?  I am still not sure, but my husband just smiled at me, and let me knew he knew, and he was there to talk if I needed to.

I’m going to admit, it was nice to finally talk to someone besides my doctor, without feeling like it was wrong, but I can also understand why some people don’t even tell their doctor something is wrong.  Bladder leakage goes without being talked about, why I’m not really sure, but I’m glad Depend® is making a movement, and helping others see it’s okay to talk about bladder leakage.  It’s okay to laugh about it, crack jokes, and just becasue you suffer from it doesn’t make you an alien – it makes you human – because it happens to more people than you would think

free sampleDid you know that over 65 MILLION AMERICANS experience bladder leakage?  Yes, that is a lot of people, and almost half of them are under the age of 50, and out of the 65 million, 12 million are under the age of 35.  That is a lot of people, and it’s pretty darn scary that nobody wants to talk about it, until now, which is why Depend® needs you to support the Underwareness movement

Depend® has pledged to donate up to THREE MILLION DOLLARS, yes $3 Million to The Simon Foundation For Continence and United Way over the next three years to advance the support and education of bladder leakage issues.  See, but they need your help, it doesn’t cost you anything we just ask that you help by sharing a photo or video to help spread the word about Underwareness.  Don’t forget you can grab your freebie, when you visit the Depend® Underwareness Website Here.
