Raise your hand if you love soccer, and cannot wait for Sunday! I don’t know about you, but we have been impatiently waiting for Sunday to get here. We have planned a get together with some family and friends to watch the good old USA Soccer team kick some booty! Sunday is the day we will watch the USA Men’s National Team take on Portugal! I know, I know, and I try to avoid getting worked up about many sports, but there are times when I cannot help it because I love all sports. However, I do not get nearly as crazy about sports as my younger brother.
I can remember watching sports with my father and brother since I was a wee little sports freak. I am also proud to say, that I still like the same teams I started liking when I was younger, AND I always 100% support the USA. It’s time to pull our your good luck soccer ball, and if you don’t have one, get one! There really is such a thing, but don’t try not washing your socks or anything funky because you might not get to watch the game with anyone….
Which reminds me of a time my brother was watching a Cowboys game, and yes he is a HUGE Dallas football fan. Anyway, he actually told me I was bad luck, and made me leave the house for the rest of the game. No, I am not joking, I wish I was. Do you want to know the worst part? It was my house! Yes, but I did not argue with my brother. I honestly felt bad for the poor guy he was no joke crying, and I didn’t know whether to laugh or make fun of him, and since I was raised to keep my mouth shut if I didn’t have anything nice to say. I started laughing, and ran to my car, locked the door, pointed and laughed a little more, and left. Thankfully, after 3 hours my brother was nice enough to let me back into the house.
To answer your question, YES my brother is the same way over soccer, and any other sports. I am telling you we were raised by a father who love sports, and it rubbed off, but I can honestly say soccer is one of my favorites, and has been since I started playing soccer in 2nd grade. Oh, no I am horrible at soccer, and have a ton of respect for the wonderful men and women who can get that darn ball to do what they want it to. Personally, I think someone gave me a trick ball, but naturally, nobody will admit it.

Who is ready for the game this Sunday? If I am not mistaken it will be the USA vs Portugal on June 22nd, and we are planning on watching. Which means it’s going to get heated, we are having some friends over, BBQ grill going, good food, and watching the USA play soccer!
