CB-sponsored-post-white-script-400Be Ready For Unexpected Guests This Holiday Season easy to make delish items form walgreens #happyalltheway #shop #cbiasThe holidays tend to bring unexpected guests, which often lead to an unexpected get-togethers.  I think it’s safe to say that we have unexpected guests at least once a week during the holiday season.  My husband was bord and raised where we live, between old friends popping in, and family stopping by to see the kids we always have people in our home.  Which is great, but it can get stressful if I’m not prepared.

I used to freak out, get upset because people didn’t call, and it often lead to an unneeded argument with my husband, over something he couldn’t control.  Rather than continue to be stressed, and argue with my husband I learned to keep some essentials in my home during the holidays, and to be honest the rest of the year.

We have four children, so ordering pizza, or running to the store out of the blue to entertain guests is out of the question.  To be honest we cannot afford it, especially weekly.  If you are worried about unexpected guest this holiday season, and want to keep stress levels to a minimum here are a few things that will help keep your mind at ease, and your pocket-book happy when your unexpected guest stop by.

Be Ready For Unexpected Guests This Holiday Season #HappyAllTheWay!

  • Clutter – Keep your house clean and free of clutter.  If you have an extra bedroom keep clutter to a minimum so your guests can stay if needed.
  • Cleaning – Your house doesn’t have to be spotless, but keep it clean enough that if someone stopped by unexpected you wouldn’t want to run and hide.
  • Think About The Little Things – Keep a can of your favorite air freshener, candles, or other items that smell nice nearby.

  • Food – If you don’t plan for unexpected guests food is often a stressful subject, especially not that we are older and most of our friends have kids.  Thanks to Walgreens and their awesome holiday solutions I can find everything I need in one place, and stock up on easy-to-make meals, or snacks.

If you haven’t had the chance to look at The Walgreens Holiday Guide I recommend stopping by your local Walgreens and grabbing one.  You’ll find that it’s filled with items that make entertaining unexpected guests easy, such as Good & Delish products, candles, table cloths, holiday decor, holiday plates and napkins, and more great items.

uncooked delish party food from walgreen sitting on table with red cloth #HappyAllTheWay #shopWe recently had some company, so I decided it was the perfect time to pull out all the Good and Delish items we had.  I have learned to buy enough for our family, plus a little extra.  We have 6 people in our household alone.  I pulled out several great appetizers.

Good & Delish Frozen Cheese Pizza is a great holiday appetizer!  It’s easy to make, and if you play your cards right it can feed a whole lot of people!  I always have a Good & Delish Frozen Cheese Pizza in my freezer!  They’re my husbands favorite frozen pizza, and have always been a huge hit with family and friends.  When we have company I will cut the pizza into little squares so it’s more like a small finger food, or appetizer.  It makes the pizza last longer, becasue people are more willing to grab a few different finger foods, unless they’re my son and husband.  Then all they want is the cheese pizza from Good and Delish.

Chips and Dip sitting on the table #happyalltheway #shop #cbiasI thought Tortilla Chips and Spinach & Artichoke Cheese Dip would be an easy holiday appetizer for the adults.  My kids don’t normally eat things like Spinach & Artichoke Cheese Dip, but I was wrong.  The kids polished it off before the adults could get any.

I wanted to try the Good & Delish Frozen Spanakopita, and the Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon Bites were amazing.  They were both great!  The To be honest I had the Good & Delish Frozen Hot Dog Puffs for those days when I need a fast and easy lunch for the kids, they are a super easy lunch that the kids love . I almost forgot about the Good and Delish Raspberry Sticks and Good & Delish Delight Candy Milk Chocolate Carmel for an easy sweet treat!  This was the first time I had tried either one, and WOW they both are amazing.  Needless to say, there wasn’t any left after everyone was gone.

I was happy that we had all these great Good and Delish items on hand, because it never fails when children are involved nobody ever likes the same thing.  Two of the little boys wouldn’t eat cheese pizza, but they loved the Frozen Hot Dog Puffs.

While I was browsing the Walgreens Holiday Gift Guide for easy holiday appetizers, I realized how much my Balance Rewards Card was going to save me.  I not only racked up some major points, but I also received a $10 coupon at the register.  I purchased several Good and Delish products, holiday plates, napkins, holiday serving platters, and a few personal items.  My total was almost $75, I walked out of the store only paying $67, received 6000 reward points, and to make things even better after I paid the clerk handed me another $10 off coupon.  That’s the 2nd one this week!  So be sure and take advantage of the savings inside Walgreen’s Holiday Gift Guide!

Good & Delish has tons of great products to help you this holiday season!  Whether you’re looking for easy appetizers for the holidays, snacks for the kids, or party snacks for your kid’s school parties be sure to check out Good & Delish products at Walgreens!  Oh, before I forget Good & Delish has some pretty amazing ice cream too!

it really would be nice to have these for the ‘just in case’ scenario. They look really appealing to the eye too, hope they taste as good as they look! Some good tips too on being prepared for surprise visitors like the nice smelling candles, a great idea.

OK I saw the topic and I was ready for tips on how to stash the clutter, where to let guests sleep when you don’t have enough beds, how to give the dog a bath and un-dog the house when you only have 15 minutes notice. Hmmmmm What I read was a commercial for some fairly non-descript foods, not really even intended for guests at all and an additional commercial thrown in for Walgreens. I’m new to your blog and I must say this didn’t start us off well. Sorry.

You have some good tips. Let me just say, holiday time is stressful enough without an unexpected visitor. I think it’s SO rude that a person couldn’t care less what’s going on that they may be interrupting.I find it so rude in fact that I don’t get the door. Even if they see me. On top of that they expect food? Call ahead!

I couldn’t agree more honstly and it’s taken YEARS for me to calm down and learn to deal with the fact that many of my husbands old friends are rude, lol. I tell them all the time, but they think I am kidding hehe… They are in town for a whole week yet cannot call and they ahve his number.. I couldn’t agree more!
