I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Skinnygirl. I received a product sample and a promotional item to facilitate my review.
Hummus, it wasn’t that long ago I was introduced to hummus, and now I hear about it all the time. I remember wondering what I was supposed to eat hummus with. I had no idea what it was, or what I was supposed to do with it lol. I’m almost a pro when it comes to eating hummus nowadays, because I love good hummus.
Have you noticed the popularity of hummus seems to be increasing? I sure have, and it’s not surprise because Americans want to be healthier and are seeking healthier food options to complement their lifestyle. I recently tried Skinnygirl Hummus, and I’m going to admit I was a little worried, because it’s made with non-fat Greek yogurt, is reduced calorie, all-natural, gluten free, and kosher certified. Oh, don’t me wrong, it’s great, but new to me. I have tried several Skinnygirl products, they have all been good, and I wasn’t disappointed by the hummus either.
You can get Skinnygirl Hummus in several different flavors:
- Skinnygirl Classic Hummus – The Classic Hummus is an awesome combo of flavor perfect for veggies. There is only 50 calories per serving.
- Skinnygirl Roasted Red Pepper Hummus – Don’t it just sound amazing? Well it is, and the best part is the 50 calories per serving, it’s an awesome substitute to the old-fashioned hummus.
- Roasted Garlic Hummus – Garlic and Hummus go together great, the Roasted Garlic Hummus taste fabulous and still only have 50 calories per serving.
- Skinnygirl Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus – I love that you can get hummus in Cilantro Jalapeno and it still only has the 50 calories per serving. I don’t know what you think, but that is a lot of flavor for only 50 calories!

We invited over my brother last week, and I decided to break out the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus by Skinnygirl because I knew my bother has never tried hummus. As you can see by the pictures we had our hummus with a variety of veggies, and crackers. My favorite veggie with any hummus is bell peppers, something about the bell pepper and hummus together – its’ a match made for dipping that is for sure. Of course, it was a huge hit everyone loved it, and my sister-n-law was going to buy some for our next football gathering at her place. Which is fine by me, because it’s super yummy, and more importantly you cannot go wrong with only 50 calories per serving!
As you may already know Skinnygirl is known for their amazing low-calorie cocktails, and they have recently decided to expand by including snacks, microwave popcorn, and non-alcoholic drinks to their portfolio. I’m glad they decided to add fresh, amazing, party-ready dips too.
“Everyone loves indulgent snacking while enjoying a cocktail with these dips there’s no need to feel guilty. Each flavor is more delicious than the next. It’s hard to believe they’re low-calorie! I love using them in recipes too!” – Skinnygirl’s creator, Bethany Frankel
