How to get kids to drink more water? WOW, I can honestly say I have asked myself that question with all my children – more than once too. Since water is crucial to our children’s health we need to make sure they drink it. Water hydrates, helps to regulate body temperature, prevent constipation, urinary tract infections and so much more. Oh, and my personal favorite is that it does all that without adding any calories. So, how do we get kids to drink more water?
Kids love to play in water, so why can’t they enjoy drinking water as much as they enjoy the worlds best water parks? So, how do we get kids to drink more water? There are several things you can do to get kids to drink more water, and it’s time to put on that thinking cap.

Have it
You should always have water available for your children. When you are outside of the home be sure you always have a bottle of water, like Nestle Pure Life® handy.
Give it to them
Off and on during the day I will just hand my kids a bottle of water for them to get a drink. I don’t say anything, just hand it to them, and it works like magic. Typically, they will take a drink and hand it back without even realizing they are drinking water. I honestly think they fight drinking water so much because I continue to ask them over and over.
Have fun
Everything is more fun when there is a straw, especially when it’s one of those twisty ones. Oh yea, grab some straws and put them in your bottle of Nestle Pure Life® water.
Let them be independent
If you typically have your child drink out of a sippy cup, try giving them the bottle to drink out of. It makes them feel like a big kid, and it’s been a deal breaker with my children.
Don’t buy it

Be a good example
If you want them to drink water, set a good example and be sure they see you drinking it.
Lemon
Add a little lemon of it. My kids love sour things, adding a fresh squeeze of lemon has helped them want to drink it more.

Decorate it
