El Chupacabra, I Love Disney’s Planes!

I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting on the edge of my chair for Disney’s Planes to come to Blu-ray!  Good News, It’s on it’s way!  I think you are going to enjoy the film if you haven’t already seen it.  There are a few things kids can learn from Disney’s Planes, and it’s just super cute, like all Disney movies!  Some of you already know that I will be in LA November 2nd until November 5th to attend the red carpet premiere of Thor: The Dark World and Delivery Man I will have the opportunity to attend a press day at Disney Toon Studios for the In-Home release of Disney’s Planes (available on November 19, 2013).  I’m pretty excited about it, and I am super excited that the people at Click Communications have been nice enough to provide me with a copy of Disney Planes Blue-ray Combo Pack for review!

I have known I would fall in love with Disney’s Planes since I watched the first trailer; it’s one of those films that I couldn’t wait to see.  Honestly, almost every new Disney film makes me feel like a kid again.  I can already tell you that Planes is one of my newest and favorite movies, along with just about any other movie I have seen recently, but nobody makes movies like Disney!  If you have seen cars, then you are not going to want to miss out on planes.  The movie is so much fun that my husband and I both enjoyed it, along with our four children, ages 15, 8, 6, and 3!  It’s a great movie for kids of all ages; yes, that means you too!

There are a few planes that I just fell in love with: El Chupacabra, Rochelle, Dusty, Ned and Zed, Chug, Dottie, Roper, Skipper Riley, and I know there are more!  They all have their own personalities and attitudes, but no plane is as charming as El Chupacabra!  You know he is a legend in Mexico; he will tell you all about it too, as well as his passion for racing.

There are tons of great laugh-aloud moments when you watch Planes, and I really fell in love with the characters!  My kids love the movie almost as much as mom does, lol.  My favorite thing is what kids can learn from watching Disney’s Planes.”

A few things kids will learn from watching Disney’s Planes:

  • The first thing, and my personal favorite, is watching Dusty face his fears.  He is afraid of heights, but that doesn’t stop him from going after his dream.  Facing fears is something we are all faced with at some point, and Disney’s Planes sets a good example for kids to follow.
  • Another one of my favorite, and most Disney movies do a great job of promoting the importance of being a loyal friend.
  • Planes can also spark a very important conversation between parents and kids about cultural sensitivity.  Dusty meets several diverse planes, such as El Chupacabra.  I love that plane.
  • I am not going to give up at the end of the movie, but Planes will teach children to not give up on something they want.  Dusty doesn’t give up; his friends never stop believing in him, which motivates him to work hard and never give up.

I love this movie; my kids love it, my husband loves it, and everyone that I know who watched it in the theater enjoyed Disney’s Planes.  It’s a fabulous movie, and kids of all ages are going to love it.  Don’t forget to invite Disney’s Planes into your home on November 19, 2013!
