Who doesn’t want to add a little oomph to your hair? If you’re like me you can wear your hair straight, or… oh wait for it, wait for it… straight! Yes, I’m not even joking. It takes an act of the wonderful hair gods to get my hair to do anything other than be straight, but over the years I have learned how to add volume to my hair. Really it all starts with the shampoo and the conditioner, if I don’t use good volumizing shampoo and conditioner like what comes in the Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set it doesn’t matter what I do, my hair will be flat, straight, and lifeless.
If you are looking for ways to add volume to your hair here are a few tips to get you started.
Your Hair Needs Volume? Try These 7 Ways To Add Volume To Your Hair
Shampoo and Conditioner
To add volume to your hair choose a shampoo and conditioner like Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set. I recently used this kit, and was VERY happy with the results, but better than that my teen daughter fell in love with it. Yes, I admit it I gave it to her. I didn’t want to but I remember what it was like being 15 years old and finding something that really works for your hair. Besides the next time I am at Walmart I can grab me the Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set.
Right now at Walmart.com you can get the Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set for only $12.99, and it comes with all sorts of good stuff. Shampoo and conditioner with no heavy residues, dyes and parabens, dry shampoo that instant absorbs excess oil, and Volumizing Soufflé that weightlessly boosts hair for luscious volume.
The Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set is a lightweight, body boosting formula that will help add volume to your hair, as well as that luscious bounce. The shampoo and conditioner restores 100% natural body, and the dry shampoo does an outstanding job between washes to refresh hair and absorb all that excess oil. For the price you cannot go wrong, plus personally I have always been a fan of Herbal Essences. The Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set smells fantastic, a crisp essence of citrus and mint. It truly smells fabulous, and words great. Not only do I like the Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set, but my daughter loves it, and her hair really needs more attention in the Volumizing department than mine. Not only does she love it, but when she uses it and styles her hair you can see a noticeable difference. It looks fuller, and oh so shiny.
Since we already know that Volumizing your hair starts with the shampoo and conditioner here are a few other ways to add volume to your hair after you have shampoo and conditioned.
Dry Hair
You can also dry your hair upside down, gravity will do it’s part to add life since your hair is being dried. You can then lock in your look with the Herbal Essences Naked Volumizing Soufflé. When you add the Volumizing Soufflé you can flip your head over again, and add while your head is upside down.
Add Some Layers
If anything other than shampoo and conditioner has helped it’s been adding some layers to my hair. We also recently added layers to my oldest daughter, Catie’s hard and WOW you can really tell a difference. Adding layer combined with great Volumizing products like Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set is a great way to add volume without spending hours and hours trying to add volume to your hair.
Blog Dryer
After you have washed your hair with a product like Herbal Essences Naked Shampoo and Conditioner blow dry your hair using a round brush around the roots of your hair to keep your roots lifted.
Add Curls
Go with the curly, or wavy hair. It will add volume to straight hair. Rollers, curling irons, or anything else works well to add curls and volume.
Give It a Tease
Teasing, or back combing is a great way to add volume.
Washing
Don’t wash your hair daily, use Herbal Essences Naked Dry shampoo, or a similar product.
Coloring
I have always thought that coloring my hair makes it look thicker, and fuller. It may be that I get highlights, and low lights placed in my hair, either way it does make it look much fuller.
Perms
I have never had a perm, but I do know several people who get perm to help add volume to their hair. I personally don’t’ because I am very careful what I do to my hair. I try to keep it as natural as possible, and since I already color it every few months I figure it’s not a good idea to add anything else.
There are several ways to add volume to your hair, but everything starts with a good volumizing shampoo and conditioner, like Herbal Essences Naked Shampoo and Conditioner. The great things about Herbal Essences Naked Shampoo and Conditioner is that right now you can purchase the entire kit for less than $13, and it comes with everything you need to have amazing hair. Head on over to Walmart.com and check out the Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set for yourself.
Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set
The Herbal Essences Naked Hair Care Set comes with 4 great products to add volume to your hair, which all worked great for my daughter and myself. Oh, and they smell amazing! Both my daughter and I love the shampoo and conditioner, and I’m in heaven with the dry conditioner. To be honest I have only used dry shampoo once, and didn’t like it. It was nice to try it again, and have different results. It is easy to use, smells great, and works like a charm. It didn’t leave my hair feeling light and static, which is why I have stayed away from dry conditioner. The Volumizing Soufflé works great as well.
This is a picture of my Catie Lou after using Herbal Essences Naked, lol. It’s funny anytime I need her to take a before and after picture she borrows my boots, wears her dress sweater thiny, and stands by her dad Camero, lol. I think she is trying to make everyone think it’s her car, which is why I always cut it off, hehe. Don’t tell her I said that lol. I have such a beautiful daughter, and I’m going to have to say her hair looks amazing! She recently added some layers to get some volume, and the passed few weeks has been using the Herbal Essences Naked shampoo, conditioner, and she finally has jumped on the dry conditioner wagon with me. Be sure to swing by Walmart.com and check out the entire line of Herbal Essences Naked! Thanks for the tips update on hair. I’ll pass it along!
It is wonderful to have a completely natural shampoo and conditioner. I am also excited to try the dry shampoo because I haven’t yet found one that I like and sometime I just don’t have time to wash my hair.
I have naturally curly hair so I don’t have any problems with volume, but I am a fan of Herbal Essences. I remember when they had a different bottle, I used to use the rose scented shampoo and conditioner….
I used to think I’d never have the need for any volumizing products because I had thick wavy hair and I prefer it straight. Then aging comes and tada! I have thin hair (and falling hair) that I am agog with volumizing products. have always loved the scents of Herbal Essences. haven’t tried the dry shampoo one. Curious.
love your Catie Lou’s locks and fringe (?). The bangs work for her. So cute and pretty!
I haven’t tried this yet but I will be. My hair seriously needs a volume boost. Thanks for sharing!
