8 Of The Many Things To Do In Los Angeles

I’m sure you have read at least one of my posts about my recent trip to Los Angeles!  It was a blast, and if you haven’t had the chance to visit LA, it’s totally worth visiting over and over again.  There are so many things to do in Los Angeles, I have been there three times in the past few months, and every time I go, I come back with a list of things to do on my next trip.  If you have not had a chance to visit LA, than you’re missing out!  There are plenty of things to do in LA; it’s a one-of-a kind city.

I visited Los Angeles about two years ago for the first time.   There is tons of fun just waiting to be had!  If you’re planning a vacation to Los Angeles, here are some great things to do in LA.

8 Of The Many Things To Do In Los Angeles

Walk of Fame

Los Angeles is known for the whole movie, celebrity, and movie premiere thing.  I don’t think anyone should visit LA without walking the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  There’ve been countless premieres, and I was lucky enough to attend two of them.

Disneyland

Another place one cannot miss while on a LA vacation is Disneyland!  I recently visited Disneyland for the first time EVER!  Yes, know, but I have been to Disney World, but this was my first Disneyland experience and it’s GREAT!  Don’t miss the legendary theme park that’s loaded with all kinds of fun for children of all ages and all types of adventures seekers.  I’m not big one for rollercoasters, and there was plenty to do, and for those who are, there’s some pretty neat rides.  Be sure to check out Mickey’s Toontown, Indiana Jones Adventure, Fantasyland, and Cards Land too!

Knott’s Berry Farm

There is a lot going on at Knott’s Berry Farm: Fast Lane, Family Rides, Water Rides, Thrill Seekers Rides, Rides for the kids, Shopping, Life Entertainment, and much more.  It’s definitely an experience worth having while you are in the area!

Six Flags

Yes, they have one of those too!  Another worthy theme park in the LA area is Six Flags.  There are tons of fun things to do for everyone, and you don’t even have to like rollercoasters to enjoy Six Flags, lol.  Yes, I hate rollercoasters, but have always enjoyed Six Flags.

Universal Studios & CityWalk

There’s some pretty impressive rides; one of my favorite was Transformers: Ride 3D and Shrek 4D, but there’s also WaterWorld and many more, and don’t forget about the Characters in the Par, Be sure to stop by and say Hi. The Universal Studios & CityWalk experience is another experience worth having in LA.  They have some really great items in their gift shops for those who enjoy souvenirs, plus the CityWalk is pretty awesome; it’s colorful and crammed with all kinds of goodies.

Things To Do In Los Angeles

Visit the Hollywood Sign

Another must-do adventure while on vacation in LA is to swing by and check out the Hollywood sign!  You can see the sign from all over the city, but there’s nothing like taking a dive to see up close and personal!  FYI, you can find driving directions online, lol.  The first time my husband and I went up there, we spent several hours trying to find it, only to find out there were some easy directions online.

El Capitan

This is where I attended the Thor: The Dark World and Delivery Man Red Carpet Premiers.  El Capitan is amazing, built in 1926, and an amazing spot to stop for a Disney Flick.  There’s been plenty of celebrities in El Capitan too.  Tickets might be a little more expensive than at your normal cinema, but they are well worth it, in my opinion.  Besides, while you’re on vacation, experience the history of LA.

Los Angeles City Tour and Movie Stars Home Tour

Wouldn’t this be fun? It certainly doesn’t sound like a bad idea if you are into the movie-start thing.

Have you traveled to Los Angeles? If so, what are a few things you did in Los Angeles?

I’d like to go back and visit LA again. We did go once for a quick drive-through which is what it really turned out to be and I honestly don’t remember anything about it. So next time I’d take your advice and see some of these sights. Thanks for the tips btw.

I live only a short distance from Los Angeles and have still not seen all of these things! I tend to forget that there are places to go nearby that others out-of-state might have on their to-do lists. I read somewhere that a fun thing to do is to search online for things to do in the area you live in, as if you were a tourist. You may end up finding things to do that you didn’t even know were nearby!
