It’s no fun worrying about getting rid of fleas and ticks from your dogs or home.  It’s much easier to try and stay ahead of the game, and keep your dogs, cats and property treated then it is to have an infestation.

Do you know how to protect yourself from ticks?

Whether you are shopping or in your backyard it is important we know how to protect not only our dog, but our family, and selves from ticks, and timely tick smarts. 

• If you need to remove Larvae from your or your dog before they bite try Duct Tape as soon as you notice the ticks latched on.  If the tick is already latched Duct Tape may not work, but don’t worry there are other ways to remove a tick. 
• TicknCounter.org recommends doing a “Daily Tick Check” to help prevent disease transmission.  To do this you would inspect all the places where tiny ticks might crawl.  If you are not sure where they may crawl TicenCounter.org has an app that can help you lean where to check and what to look for.
• Tiny ticks crawl up, and are also known to crawl under your clothing.  The ticks from your own backyard, camping trips while hiking, or walking to the neighbors.  Be sure to spray shoes with repellent.   According to Tickencounter.org the most effective way to kill ticks before they bite is by using tick repellent.
• Many ticks are sensitive to dryness.  You should also ways wear dry clothing.  If you have worked in the yard for a few hours the best thing you can do is change clothing, and toss the clothing you had on into the dryer. 

 Ticks are everywhere, and it’s important we are aware of the harm they can cause not only to our animals, but us and our family.  Thankfully we can protect our pets with awesome products like PetArmor® Plus IGR.

I received four boxes of PetArmor® Plus IGR, which is perfect for each one of my pups.  It’s easy to use, a product I trust, and the only dog who doesn’t like it is my baby skittles lol.  He has never liked me rubbing the tube down his back, lol.  He is my spoiled rotten pitbull.  The other three could have scared less, they were busy looking for their belly bottoms lol.  All my dogs are dizzy. 

We received our PetArmor Plus IGR just in time.  The day before it arrived we had a nice rain store, which was great, and we needed the moisture, but it also brought out a few ticks.  My husband’s mom came over the evening that we applied the PetArmor® Plus IGR, and while we were getting Piper taken care of, my husband’s mom saw a tick climbing on skittles.  Luckily it didn’t have time to latch, my husband got it off and burned it. YUCK, they are so nasty and I am thankful we got our PetArmor when we didn’t because we have not seen any more on the dogs and I have looked.

This is a little off the subject, but it is important you know your dog’s weight.  Don’t guess, please weight them.  Several years ago I lived with my brother and his wife.  I had Skittles, who weighs 47 pounds, and my sister-n-law had a little wiener dog.  She accidentally put the treatment for my dog on hers.  Her little dog started to get sick, couldn’t walk, and we did not know what was going on                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

How to Protect Your Dogs From Fleas and Ticks

Don’t you wish you could tell your dogs these tips and they too could watch out for ticks?  Sadly, we cannot explain this to our four-legged friends.  It is our job to not only watch out for ourselves, but them too.  Removing ticks from dogs is easy with products from PetArmor.  Part of being a responsible pet owner is loving your dogs, and taking great care of them.  Part of taking care of them is protecting them from fleas and ticks. 

Don’t laugh at my painted nails, lol.  The two little ones got ahold of me right before I did the video, and I promised them I would leave it on until I took a shower.  They really did a great job, and get better each time they do it.  Yes, it happens a lot, and yes I allow them to do it all the time.  If they ever hear me say I need to take a shower in a bit, they run and gab there 

How To Apply PetArmor Plus IGR

• First open the box and remove the product from the packaging.
• Hold the tube with the top-notch part pointed out away from your face.  You will need scissors to cute the narrow end off.  Cut along the line at the notches.
• You will not put it on your dog by pointing the open end into the dog’s hair.
• Apply all the PetArmor Plus IGR solutions to your dog by squeezing the tube firmly and moving it from the back of the neck to a point midway between the neck and tail. 

We are very happy with PetArmor!  It takes care of my furry babies, and I couldn’t ask for more.  Some of the fleas and tick treatment I have used in the past were VERY greasy, and I didn’t notice that with PetArmor.  You can barely see the line on his back in the above picture. 

PetArmor has been GREAT, we have not seen one flea or tick, and trust me we have been looking.
