Here are a few of our favorite messy outdoor summer activities for kids.
Water gun painting
My youngest daughter LOVES making her daddy water gun art. It’s super easy and all you need is a squirt gun, plants, and a good aim. Just fill your water gun up with water, add your favorite color paint, and start shooting.
Water Paint Balloon Fight
I know, I told you they were going to be messy, but it’s totally fun. It’s one of my kids’ favorite things to do when it’s hot out, lol. Kids love the messy stuff, and this is messy, fun, and super easy. Just fill water balloons with water and add a quick squirt of paint before tying them shut.
Anytime we let the kids have a water balloon fight, they have friends over, which means I normally end up making a few hot dogs on the grill. I don’t know what it is but every child I know loves ketchup but they can’t seem to keep it off their shirts. Glow in the dark slime:

Slip & Slide
Okay, so my husband got the kids started on this one. I’m not sure where he got the idea, but the kids love it. Bake off

When we camp-out in our backyard from time to time, I can’t wait to make glowing chalk to play with. It’s super easy to make.
