Exercise – Have you ever wished you could have some of a child’s energy?  I watch my children, and wish I could have just a little of their energy.  I would be able to get so much done in a day, and I wouldn’t even need but half of it, lol.  Children need to have a way to get rid of that built up energy, and there isn’t a better way than fun (don’t tell them it’s called) exercise.  Kids enjoy doing different things, and not all of them enjoy sports.  Try and find something your child likes – Golf Soccer Football Dancing Running Swimming Skateboard Playing outside Going for a walk Picking up the yard Building a fort outside Riding bikes or scooters Taking the dog for a walk Anything that gets them up, outside, and moving is great.  My kids jump on their trampoline every single day, if they have time play in the pool, swing by and change things around in the clubhouse, and they just might feed the ducks lol.  They are outside, moving, having fun, and they don't even realize they are doing something healthy for their bodies!   If you hear "I'm bored" thank you might want to try to come up with a few new games, I found some good ones at GummyVites.com .

Kids, sometimes I don’t even know what to say about mine, lol.  I love them more than I love life itself, and as a mother, I want to be sure they are safe, happy,  and healthy.  I do everything I can to keep my kids healthy, and it’s been on my mind more and more with the cold and flu season coming up.  For the most part, my kids are healthy, but most of you know, I also have a son who has cerebral palsy, and I am always scared of him getting sick.  Thankfully, he doesn’t get sick often, but it’s also encouraged me to look for every way to keep the kids healthy.

5 Ways You Can Help Keep Your Kids Healthy and Happy

We all want to keep our kids healthy and happy, and here are a few tips to help.

Try and find something your child likes –

  • Golf
  • Soccer
  • Football
  • Dancing
  • Running
  • Swimming
  • Skateboard
  • Playing outside
  • Going for a walk
  • Picking up the yard
  • Building a fort outside
  • Riding bikes or scooters
  • Taking the dog for a walk

Anything that gets them up, outside, and moving is great.  My kids jump on their trampoline every single day, if they have time play in the pool, swing by and change things around in the clubhouse, and they just might feed the ducks lol.  They are outside, moving, having fun, and they don’t even realize they are doing something healthy for their bodies!   If you hear “I’m bored” thank you might want to try to come up with a few new games, I found some good ones at GummyVites.com .

washing hands

Keep hands clean – The best way to help keep your kids healthy, especially during cold and flu season is to practice good hand hygiene.  Teach your children when they should wash their hands, and what to do if they are not able to wash their hands.

Eating Healthy – You know that old saying, “you are what you eat?”  It’s something I have always lived by, especially now that I have kids.  If we live on unhealthy foods, we’re not going to be healthy.  I do my best to be sure my family eats plenty of fruits, veggies, and lean proteins, whole grain, dairy, and probably more fruits, lol.  Fruit is like candy in our house, it’s a great sweet treat.

On another note, we do have pizza from time to time, and I let the kids have candy, and rarely do they get a soda.  I want my kids to be healthy, but I also want them to experience things in life, and our family pizza night is something we all look forward to.  It’s a night we sit down as a family, nobody cooks, does dishes, or anything we do all the other days of the week, and we play games, watch movies, or sometimes end up outside watching the kids act crazy.  It’s our day, together, and I wish we had more of them, which is why I also have the kids take a gummy bear vitamin, like Gummy Vites™, daily.

Eating breakfast is important for everyone in the family.  Did you know that kids who eat breakfast tend to do better in school?  You can give your children oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast, it’s easy, affordable, and gives them a nice variety to choose from.

Get Enough Sleep – Sleep plays a big role in our health.  Children who are well rested tend to have a better attitude, stronger immune systems, and generally healthier.

Vitamins – It would be nice to be able to make sure your children are getting all the vitamins their little bodies need each and every day, but it’s easy to fall short even if you do cook healthy it happens.  Which is why I try to make the kids take a children’s multi-vitamin, like L’il Critters Gummy Vites.  The kids love them, and they don’t let me forget when they have not had their gummy bear vitamin.  We received two bottles: Gummy Vites™ and  Gummy Vites™ Plus Bone Support®.

The kids are familiar with these awesome little gummy bear vitamins, but the L’il Critters Bone Support was a new one for them.  Naturally, they wanted to try one right away, and after I looked over the label, and I can give each one of the kids 2 cute little gummy bears, which has as much calcium as a 5-ounce glass of milk.  It’s funny as soon as the bottle opened, the kids could smell the fun swirled flavors.

Gummy Vites™ Plus Bone Support®

L’il Critters® helps make nutrition taste good by combining the power of vitamins, with the awesome-tasting gummy flavor.  L’il Critters® gummy vitamins have been my kids favorite vitamin for the past few months.  I have tried other vitamins, but we always go back to L’il Critters, because the kids say they taste the best.  If the kids want L’il Critters® vitamins because they taste better I’m totally okay with that, because they are a great alternative to hard-to-swallow tablets or capsules, chalky tasting victims, and they are super convinient.  The kids don’t need to grab any water, they just eat their L’il Critters gummy bear vitamins, which offers a blend of essential vitamins, minerals, and supplements to deliver nutrition that supports kids overall good healthy, as well as a healthy diet and exercise.

Gummy Vites™ Plus Bone Support®

L’il Critters products range from Gummy Vites™ to Gummy Vites™ Plus Bone Support®, are all made with natural flavors, and right here in the USA.

You can purchase L’il Critters at drug and grocery stores nationwide: Walmart, Costco, Target, and CVS.  You can learn more about these awesome little gummy vitamins by visiting GummyVites.com.
