I am sure you remember the post we wrote a little over a week ago about Mr. Clean NEW Liquid Muscle Cleaner. Several of you reached out with great cleaning tips which will hopefully help others enjoy the clean free weekend as well, because to all of us know how to have everything done by the weekend. That might sound crazy, but I am one of those people. I used to put everything off until Sunday, and thanks to this promotion I realized also about myself and what I need to do to change things.
I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who submitted “Clean Free Weekend” tips, all who entered the giveaways, read the post, read our posts daily, and those who left comments on our earlier post for Mr. Clean’s New Liquid Muscle Cleaner. So pretty much everyone! I have taken a lot away from this campaign, and I hope it can help some of you the way it helped me find my Clean Free Weekend! I hope you enjoy these cleaning tips as much as I do!
It might sound crazy , but reading everyone’s tips, using Mr. Clean’s New Liquid Muscle Cleaner to keep my house clean, and focusing on NOT cleaning on my weekends helped me realize I needed to change my cleaning schedule. I have worked since I was old enough to, and before I started blogging full-time my only guaranteed day off was Sunday. Every single Sunday we would clean the house, do laundry, and all the not so fun things. There are several times we came home early, or didn’t go places because we had so much we needed to get done. Now that I am working from home, you would think I would have changed my cleaning schedule, but I didn’t. Okay, I did it’s only been a week, but it’s already paying off, especially with all the weekend fun we have planned coming up.
Tips To Get Your Housework Done, and Have A Clean Free Weekend
It’s been months since I have made a video, and I really miss them. It’s a nice change talking, rather than writing, but I am extremely long winded, and had to redo the video several times. It wasn’t a bad video, I just want to tell you about everything. Plus, I received so many great “Clean Free Weekend” Cleaning Tips and I wanted to talk about all of them, in great detail lol. So take a moment, check out my long-winded video with a few cleaning tips that were submitted by some of you, and a few that I have learned. I will also include a few more in this post, and my fingers are crossed it helps us all have a Clean Free Weekend, not just this weekend, but for many to come.
Here are a few other tips that was mentioned by some of our amazing readers, and a few that I thought might help too! Good luck, remember keep your weekend Clean and Free so you can take part in the important things!
- Here are a few tips to have your house clean before the weekend arrives, because we want you to enjoy a clean free weekend!
- Clean one room at a time.
- Keep a weekday cleaning schedule and stick to picking up the little things daily.
- Do all cleaning on Thursdays so the house is nice and tidy come the weekend?
- Pick up after yourself and anyone else who makes a mess.
- Keep all your cleaning supplies organized, and together.
- Keep your home organized, it feels good to have a clean home and can be motivating to keep it clean.
- Have Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle, and all other cleaning supplies on hand. Not having all your supplies is a great way to talk yourself out of cleaning for the day.
- Have everyone help. Chores are good for kids, it’s a great way to teach them responsibility and will help lighten your load.
- All chores must be done by Thursday, so Fridaymorning anything that is left can be easily and quickly finished.
- Reward yourself, and others who help. Before you start cleaning think of something you can do to make getting the job done more motivating – grab a nice cold ice water with Lemon, popsicle, take the kids for ice cream, or a swim in the pool.
- Turn on the music, dance, and have fun.
- Open the blinds, and let the sunlight shine in.
- Add a little workout to your cleaning routine.
- Act silly, use the vacuum as a microphone, grab the Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle and dance to your favorite jam!
Yes, the last few I do every time I clean. It helps me have a little fun, and every now and than I can get my husband to join in, BUT I do not allow anyone to dance with Mr. Clean liquid Muslce. He’s mine, and I refuse to share him. I share, Braooom (our broom) and Mopelina (mop), and even our newest member Vacuumey (vacuum). My daughter, Vayda and I named all the cleaning tools several years ago, and we had so much fun cleaning that it’s just stuck. It might be hard to get moving, but once we do it’s always fun. Plus, life is too short, and cleaning is neverending part of our lives that it only seems right to have fun doing it, or at least make the best of it.
My oldest daughter is 16, and we were talking the other day about moving out (I know, that’s another blog post or book lol). Do you remember when you first moved out of your parents house, and cleaning your house was fun? For me it was a blast, and it made me feel all grown up. Man, I wish I could figure where I lost that, because I would like to go back and get it. I still feel the same about having a clean house, it makes me feel good, and having a home that smells clean is addicting. I just wish I liked cleaning it more, lol.
