There are so many things I love: time with my children, friends, family, riding my horses, cooking, long walks on the beach (lol), alone time, eating, and of course, a good old party with family and friends! Which I got to enjoy the other day. As a matter of fact, it was election night, and it was nice because it turned into a girls night. This rarely happens, but it did happen when all the dads took the kids home, put them in bed, and let us moms enjoy some mommy time. I’m still kicking myself for not making dinner; I didn’t realize how late everyone was going to stay, but at least there was a snack, right? A huge thank you to Luvs for making this party possible.
I think the best part of the party was getting the table ready. As you can see, we only had a few snacks because I didn’t realize how late everyone was going to stay, but that’s okay; we made some mac & cheese for everyone. The kids loved it, so we were all happy, and the muffins were OMG SO GOOD! However, I didn’t get to put out any balloons because my children decided to sneak into them a few days before the party while dad was watching them and have a little part of their own, lol. So that you know why we are missing balloons.
I bet you’re wondering what’s in the bags, right? Needless to say, I was super excited to have a little gathering and to put the bags together, and everything on the table was my favorite part. I know I didn’t want to use anything but “my brand” with my first daughter, but as time goes on, you learn that there are other quality brands out there that save you a ton of money in the long run, like Luvs.
I always love spending time with my family, especially when we don’t have a whole lot going on and can enjoy one another’s company while the kids play.
Oh, I almost forgot we even have live music.
Shawn and Mattie danced around while Gavin jammed out on my pots and pans. Yup, he’s improved a lot since the last time he was over too. He just loves playing with the pots and pans. He sings something, but we are not sure. I think Aunt Jenn is the coolest aunt in the whole wide world, but I don’t know for sure.
After about two hours of all the excitement, the kids slowly started to fall asleep. Gavin was the first one to hit the sack; it’s probably all that jamming he did. I mean, it would have to wear a person out, right? I wouldn’t know; I’m not nearly as good on the pots and pans, but it looks so tiring, lol.
See little Gavin there in his Luvs diaper? Yes, mom didn’t bring along diapers because she wanted to give Luvs a try. So far, everyone that I have talked to from the party says they are still Luv Luvs!
Of course, we had to ask everyone what they loved. We got a variety of answers, everything from my horse to new shoes, girls nights, and my family. Now we want to know what it is that you love.
